In 2000 he went to study in Bangkok, at Chima Noanthaburi temple. There he was asked to teach Buddhism. His goals for going to Bangkok were to gain further studies.
In 2003 he returned to Nong Ook Village (Ban Arunotai). The villagers asked him to look after the temple in Nong Ook village and be the abbot. He tried to develop temple. At that time there was the only one building and had no fence. He worked hard to develop the area. He started teaching, taking in children to ordain them as novices and teach them the Thai language and Buddhism.
Pra Virote wants to start a school for unfortunate children who would otherwise not have a chance to study. He wants all children around Nong Ook and other place to access basic education and be aware of the society to avoid exploitation. He wants Schools of Hope to be the first step for children to access education and enable them to go further with their studies. He wants to help the children in Shan State who don’t have a chance to study and wishes Schools of Hope will continue to provide education and health care for children.
